Seems like I say that a lot. The computer has been fixed for quite some time but I have been working like a madman and neglecting the site (yes again). It is almost time for renewal on my domain and it isn’t free which means I am considering killing the site but I have not yet made up my mind on that one.

Anyways… several people have expressed interest in Roger De Rok (my highschool friend that followed my example and went from 320#s down to 180#s by being primal for just a year) starting his own blog. I figured… why not get the best of both worlds and just make him a writer on sonofgrok.com

This way you will get more frequent updates and I also wont feel so pressured to get content on here and also do guilty for not doing it!

Welcome Roger. We are eager for your first post and your primal experience!

The wife and I had the pleasure of meeting up with bloggers Chris from Fitness Fail and Rayna. They were passing through to some remote part of New Mexico (lets be honest… MOST of New Mexico is remote).

We enjoyed an evening of climbing and good ol’ barbecue. Both Chris and Rayna are extremely fit, cool and friendly. We had a good time. Make sure to check out both of their sites!

Chris did a little write up on the meet here so I wont bother with redundancy… go read his:
Chris’ Write Up

I can tell you this though, when you don’t climb for a while… you lose it. I didn’t feel like we did that much climbing really but I was unbelievability sore (insert excruciating pain) for 3-4 days after!

The wife finally delivered on her guest post. She was really nervous and is still very skeptical about me posting this for her but I think she did a fantastic job! Enjoy.

Red Meat or Poultry?

I have had chicken, turkey, quail, hen and duck. My favorite would be duck but compared to a steak… no contest.

I love the taste of red meat. I love the tenderness, how it smells when it is grilling and everything about it. Most of all… it is just real meat.

Growing up, I always ate Asian cuisine. That is all my family would cook. I would suggest having steaks but we only had them once in a while. Guys, I am burned out on all that stir fry stuff! lol. Don’t get me wrong, it is all good stuff but I prefer meat. Red meat. So far my favorite is the beef tenderloin. SoG and I had it last week grilled with spices and it just won me over.

Guess I am just a red meat girl!

______________________________________________________

As you can probably imagine, the wife is loving this primal living and getting to eat red meat and steak almost every night. I am so lucky to have a wife who is not only supportive of my primal lifestyle but is gung-ho about it!

What is your favorite meat and why?
