I have a big interview today for a promotion. This means not a lot of time to put together a post becauseĀ I am preping for the interview. Therefore… enjoy another installment of random pics and stuff!

Speaking of work, here is me at work. The SoG isn’t always running around shirtless lol.

My sister asked me if going Primal gave you abs. Sometimes a picture speaks louder than words… (P.S. my brother in law is now going primal… awesome!)

    I wish I had abs like that!

    In the past year I have worked my way down from 211 lbs to 174 lbs using a combination of P90X and Primal eating. My goal is 160 which should get me to about 10% body fat.

    However I have been stuck at 174 for about a month now and nothing seems to work.

    Any tips for losing that last 14 pounds?

    Hey ! Love your bloging style.
    Just tell me what is your abs routine (eating primal being responsible for 80% ofcourse) ?
    I mean I know that squats + sprints are main components …but my upper abs are now too thick (almost protruding) and the lower ones not well defined (lines sculpted). Any corrective suggestions ?

    It is delicious and so easy!

    Thanks man! I think they can get better but I used to think it was impossible for me to get abs so any are a huge accomplishment for me! My advice for breaking through that last barrier “When in dount… cut the carbs”. Cut back on fruit and calorie dense foods like nuts. Further limit these to help crash through that last poundage!

    Thanks for the complement. I don’t actually have an ab routine lol. You wont catch me doing a crunch or anything like that. I never got abs until i stopped doing crunches and crap. i am now convinced ab isolation exercises are a wasted of time AND are bad for the back and spine. I occasionally do some planks, I do a lot of exercises that require core interaction like squats, deadlifts and clean and presses. I also do some oldschool boxing stomach conditioning (punching myself in the gut lol). I never purposely hit abs. I do the stomach conitioning between sets sometimes. I think this less isolation and more natural interaction style helps with natural looking abs.

    The salmon patty recipe is one I got from Elizabeth at cavemanfood.com Maybe I will ask her permission to repost here. it is a godd one and uses canned salmon so it is CHEAP!

    Unfortunately it will probably be the opposite! Less time for the blog, more work and I will be moving to a smaller office beacause i will be working directly with my team of 15 direct reports lol.

    @Chris- Awesome progress. You are in the home stretch. I think SoG gave you good advice about further reduction of carbs. You should also look at your salt intake, and “hidden sugars” in beverages and supplements.

    @Space – I must concur with the wise SoG, I stopped doing ab exercises ages ago. Full body work is the way to go, and if you wanna really cut the fat, then cut those carbs.

    I am definitely gonna try the indoor rock climbing gym.

    They got great chorizo at the Mexican grocery. I am always trying to figure out what to do with it besides just fry it or grill it. But stuffing another piece of meat… genius!
