Past:
We had a really easy yet delicious pulled pork recipe, some budget eats, a failed experiment and learned why the “lean meat” craze is a load of hooey.
Present:
1. Not only does HFCS come with a healthy dose of insulin spikes but it also comes with a healthy dose of mercury! Yum. Modern Forager has the goods on it.
2. Heading to a Super Bowl party? Watch out for “frankenfoods”! Mark’s Daily Apple covers some good ones. Want a hint? Watch out for soft serve chicken… ewwwwwwwww.
3. Rusty over at Fitness Black Book has a pretty good and controversial article on working out in a fasted state. Check it out and let me know what your thoughts are!
Future:
One word… cheesecake. That’s right, it is delicious, refined sugar and artificial sweetener free and it is coming to YOUR kitchen. We shall also see what comes up this week. I have a couple school projects coming due and a lot to do in the office so I will have my hands full this week! I think that I am going to try to introduce the lovely Mrs. SoG to everyone… if she consents. lol.

Great summary of last week’s action on a few of the fitness blogs. As far as working out in a fasted state…people have pretty strong opinions either way. It makes a lot of sense to me and works well, but some disagree.
Can’t wait for your cheescake post. I love cheescake, especially Key Lime Pie style!

I have yet to really work out fasted. I would love to form my own opinion but unfortunately I am having a hard time figuring out how I can work my fasting and workout in together. My Schedule does not really permit.
