You need to see this documentary. I recently jumped on the Netflix wagon. This has resulted in a new found love for well done documentaries. My wife and I recently saw this one. It is by Christopher Bell, a fat kid who grew up to be a gym rat. He has always been against steroids but [...]

Yesterday, I received a very real reminder of why my health is important to me.
This came in the form of a trip to the ER with my father-in-law. At the ripe young age of 59, he experienced a heart attack. I rushed to the hospital to meet up with my wife and in-laws at the ER.

I generally do an intense strength workout every other day. I will do like a 1 hr walk or something similar almost everyday but when it comes to weights and circuits, I usually alternate days. For example day 1: workout, day 2: rest, day 3: workout, day 4: rest.

Past: The last week
It was a slow week for content. I had a final exam and a lot of work to do so I apologize. I still had the chance to show everyone my home gym, rant about pizza eaters and their hoarding of slices, make some guacamole and do a spartan test.
Present: Link Love
1. [...]

I added a blanket cape (way too thick)… and changed the broom to a spear this time (with a little paint help)!
I tried the workout before with little success. I thought I would do this again and see if my training over the past month had made me a better spartan at all.
The result? While [...]

A delicious dip/spread/paste made from avocados.
Guacamole is a delicious, healthy treat made from avocado and it is easy to make! We like to have guacamole with our steaks frequently. There are a million different ways to make guacamole but I will provide you with 2. The first will [...]
